Jakoten-Cooking

During the factory tour, you can watch craftsmen making kamaboko fish cakes from the tour corridors.

During the jakoten-making activities, you can also make regular koban coin-shaped jakoten and cute heart-shaped jakoten.

The taste of freshly-fried jakoten will be a great memory!

Pearl accessory-making

Duration：60 - 90 min.

During pearl accessory-making activities, you can make things like your own original necklace, bracelet, and cell phone strap.

Why not make your own original accessories with high-quality pearls from a place famous for its pearls?

Pearl culture activity tour with souvenirs

Duration：60 - 90 min..

Visitors can observe the process of pearl cultivation from implantation to extraction, and at the pearl seminar, they can deepen their knowledge of pearls and learn how to select good pearls.

You can not experience activities including selecting your own pearl oyster from a raft and extracting pearl from the oyster except for the pearl cultivation site.

You can take accessories made of the pearls you extract into home.

Ushi-Oni (Buyale) painting activit

We have prepared an activity where visitors can paint an Ushi-oni carving toy, or “Buyare,” as their own original “My Ushi Oni.”

Fishing Boat Cruising and Yusumizugaura Terrace Field Tour

The Yusumizugaura Terrace Field in Uwajima has been designated as an important cultural landscape to be preserved for the future.

You can take a fishing boat for a pictoresque cruise, coursing through Japan’s largest pearl and sea bream farms.

We will berth as you look up at the terraced field from the sea, disembark together, and give you a guided tour.

"Gururi Uwakai" Cruise Tour

Duration：60 min and 40 min.

Visitors can view the islands of the Uwakai Sea from the boat windows. Enjoy a boat trip to experience the history of things, such as Uwakai’s beautiful ria coastlines, flourishing fish farms, and the legend of Fujiwara no Sumitomo.
