クワ科　　学名：Ficus erecta var. erecta

犬枇杷。暖地の開けた場所に生えるイチジクの仲間で、落葉で雄の木と雌の木があります。花は花嚢の中に咲き、花嚢の間を移動するイチジクコバチの仲間によって受粉します。熟すと黒紫色になり食べられます。

A species of fig that grows in warm, open areas. It is a deciduous tree with both male and female varieties. Its flowers bloom inside of sacs and they are pollinated by a highly specialized species of fig wasp. The edible fruit turns a deep purple when ripe.
