ニシキギ科　　学名：Euonymus japonicus

柾。トベラやシャリンバイなどと共に海岸風衝低木林をつくります。若い枝は緑色で葉は対生し光沢があります。果実は熟すと橙色の種子を出します。

Along with Pittosporum tobira and Rhaphiolepis umbellate, this tree makes up the wind-shaped coastal forest here. The young branches are green, with oppositely paired sets of glossy leaves. They produce fruits with orange seeds when ripe.
