ユズリハ科　　学名：Daphniphyllum teijsmannii var. teijsmannii

姫譲葉。暖地の海岸から低山の常緑広葉樹の林内に生育する常緑高木。雄の木と雌の木があり、葉は長楕円形で葉柄が赤みを帯びます。山地に生育し正月飾りに使うユズリハより葉が小型で裏面の側脈が不明瞭です。

An evergreen tree found in warm, coastal to low mountainous broadleaf evergreen forests. There are male and female varieties. The leaves are oblong and the leaf stem is reddish in color. Its leaves are small and have obscure lateral veins on the underside. A relative of this species is popularly used as a New Year’s decoration in Japan.
