Ashizuri 1 Day Cycling Tour

Duration:390 min.

Ride your bicycle through the winding roads of the Ashizuri Peninsula, where the Japanese Camellias make their tunnels!

The Ashizuri Peninsula has a lot to offer!
It would be a bit of a waste to go to the southernmost cape and drive straight home.
There are many points of interest that you would pass by by car, such as the scenic seashore and the villages where the traditional lifestyle of a fishing village still remains.
If you use a bicycle, we recommend it, as you can dash through the winding roads of the Ashizuri Peninsula and see every nook and cranny of the small village!
Our guides will lead you to the rocky areas and villages of the coast that are not easy to access unless you are a local.
This tour lets you get an up-close experience of life in a fishing village.

This is a tour of the villages on the west side of the Ashizuri Peninsula, from CapeAshizuri to Nakahama.

These areas have long prospered from fishing and bonito flakes making, and the traditional fishing village lifestyle still remains.

We will spend a full day taking you through the scenery of the Ashizuri Peninsula, including the village of Matsuo, where Kochi Prefecture’s bonito fishing and knot making are said to have begun, the scenic coastline formed by granite, and the village of Nakahama, the birthplace of John Manjiro.
